I have lived away from Britain nearly as long as living in it! And the changes have of course been tumultuous! I was born in an post-war era when Britain was recovering from a hard fought war and trying to recover its economy and normal life style.
Societies and cultures and countries are always in a state of change and flux, the only difference in my view is the speed. Some change slowly others fast.
I have of course heard many views on changing Britain, bemoaned by many but praised by others. What is my view as now an elder of the tribe of Britain?
Firstly I accept change as inevitable - we change and therefore culture changes - some of us accept and like change others abhor it. But change cannot really be ignored - it is a reality and must be adjusted to to survive in any reasonable state of mind!
This blogging experience therefore is an exploration of the state of mind of one Anglo Saxon, who has accepted change and the need to ever change and adapt and not regard the world or the country as always in disaster and spiralling ever downwards!
